2022 40+ Division Champions -- Nationals

The Nationals clinched their second straight division crown which earned them the trip back to the championship game.

In the championship game, the Nationals took an early 2-0 lead in the first, but the Phillies stormed back with 4 in the 3rd and another run in the 5th. The Phillies took a 5-4 lead into the bottom of the 8th but the Nationals broke it open with 5 runs to seal the victory. The MVP of the game was Will Ferreira, who at the plate went 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases. On the mound he closed out the game with a two inning, five strikeout performance facing just 7 batters and the Nationals beat the Phillies 9 to 5.
